If one is allergic to iodine, would one also be allergic to quinine? - quinine sulfate
My aunt is allergic to iodine and shellfish. My doctor prescribed quinine sulfate for leg pain. It is similar to quinine and she could allergic to iodine and quinine?

Hola =)
No, not all the same .... Quinine is a relatively complex, together ....
Iodine is a chemical element and a common allergen.
Iodine is a common nutrient found in fish and shellfish found (because of the amount of iodine in sea water) ..
Quinine is found in seawater.

I'm allergic to seafood and is quinine.
I'll give you a tip ... but instead of quinine tablets expensive ... Just go to the store, a little tonic water ... has quinine.
If it is too bitter (for them it is bitter for many people) just have a glass of 8 ounces ... Fill 3 / 4 full of juice and the rest of the tonic water ... the bitterness is gone, but with quinine is still ... Tonic water is only 99 a bottle in most places ... and works ... Grandmother, mother, and all have been used successfully.
No ..... used primarily for people with iodine allergies!
