The quality of computer monitors is mainly in high definition. But to maximize a screen with a resolution: 1920 x 1080 (Thats 1080i / p) is 720p is 1280x720 resolution, I think you understand. I think that the resolution is 1440x900, which is halfway between 720p and 1080. Then you are seeing HD quality, if you look at is 1920 x 1080 If the 720p video it looks just below the HD, because it stretched the video to fit the screen.
To view HDTV on the big screen though. You need a big HDTV.
